The Vacation Channel on Roku

What is Roku?

Roku is a streaming TV service that allows you to watch content on-demand! The Roku platform features several apps you may already be familiar with (Netflix, Hulu, HBO, Amazon Prime TV, etc.) plus apps like Spotify and YouTube, so you can stream video content on your TV instead of on a mobile device or computer.

How can I get Roku?

The Roku Platform is free on Roku-enabled televisions and available for purchase in “stick form” online and in stores. In 2021, Roku was the #1 smart TV platform, with more than 60.1 million monthly active users in the US.

How much does Roku cost?

The Roku platform is free if you have a Roku-enabled smart TV. External Roku devices, like the Roku Streaming Stick 4K or the Roku Express HD, can be connected to your existing TV’s HDMI port. You will need Wi-Fi to be able to stream content from Roku.

There is no cost to install most Roku apps (like The Vacation Channel), but some apps charge a monthly fee to watch content (like Disney+, HBO Max, etc.).

How do I install Roku apps/channels?

You can install Roku apps from your computer by logging into your account, or you can install them directly from your TV. Here’s a blog with instructions on How to Install Roku Channels.
